I had a dream...

... To roam the world, overland, unhindered by common obstacles, to visit places, to have time to listen to people and to appreciate mankind's diversity...

This would take time to prepare and time to enjoy. It would entail having a vehicle that could go just about anywhere yet providing an acceptable level of comfort during months of travel whether in hot or cold climate.

… These were my thoughts, as the sun was setting over this forsaken village in Chad (where I was working for a humanitarian organisation), the temperature starting to drop below the 50°C (122  F) that we had at midday.
