Yogyakarta
is the capital of the Yogyakarta Sultanate and served as the Indonesian capital
from 1946 to 1948 during the Indonesian National Revolution, with Gedung Agung
as the president's office. One of the districts in southeastern Yogyakarta,
Kotagede, was the capital of the Mataram Sultanate between 1587 and 1613.
Prambanan
is a 9th-century Hindu temple compound in Special Region of Yogyakarta,
Indonesia, dedicated to the Trimūrti, the
expression of God as the Creator (Brahma), the Preserver (Vishnu) and the
Transformer (Shiva). The temple compound is located approximately 17 kilometres
(11 mi) northeast of the city of Yogyakarta.
The temple
compound, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest Hindu temple site in
Indonesia and the second-largest in Southeast Asia. It is characterized by its
tall and pointed architecture, typical of Hindu architecture, and by the
towering 47-metre-high central building inside a large complex of individual
temples.

It's not easy to renew your visa for Indonesia, 30 days, by 30 days. You need:
1) A local "Sponsor" who will guarntee that you are okay
2) At the immigration office, fill-out many forms
3) Go to a bank to pay the visa fee
4) Go back to immigration office with the sponsor
5) Have a picture of you taken
6) Have your fingerprints taken
7) Next day, go back to immigration office to pick-up your passeport
Tired of doing this and NOT finding a sponsor in Yogyakarta, I flew to KL in Malaysia for 24 hours, enjoyed the brisk, modern city, flew back to Indonésia and got a 30 days visa-exemps stamp in my passeport with not even a question asked!
